From The Collection of Michael Aronoff: Rittenhouse 21 Year Old Very Rare Single Barrel Straight Rye Whiskey. Originally distilled in 1984, the resulting 100 barrels (stored in the lowest levels of the Heaven Hill facilities to mitigate changes in environment) of Rye were bottled three separate times between 2005 and 2010; at 21 years, at 23 years and, finally, at 25 years old. Barrel No. 27. Bottle 119. 50% ALC/VOL (100 Proof). Wooden tube is in poor condition with the bottom piece missing (thus affecting the entire structure’s integrity). Foil seal on bottle very good (exhibiting some minor losses in the foil stamping). Screened and printed labels likewise very good (though also exhibiting minor losses). 750ml. Distilled and bottled by Continental Distilling Co. (Bardstown, KY).
