From The Collection of Michael Aronoff: Rittenhouse 23 Year Old Very Rare Single Barrel Straight Rye Whiskey. Originally distilled in 1984, the resulting 100 barrels (stored in the lowest levels of the Heaven Hill facilities to mitigate changes in environment) of Rye were bottled three separate times between 2005 and 2010; at 21 years, at 23 years and, finally, at 25 years old. Barrel No. 6. Bottle 104. 50% ALC/VOL (100 Proof). Wooden tube is in fair condition (its chief detriment being the circular piece of wood that the chord latches around is cracked, with a piece missing). Foil seal on bottle excellent. Screened and printed labels very good (though exhibiting minor losses). 750ml. Distilled and bottled by Continental Distilling Co. (Bardstown, KY).
